Wilde Subaru Collects Toys for Toys for Tots

Wilde Subaru Collects Toys for Toys for Tots! Originally established in 1947 by the Marines, there is still a great need for this organization’s good works 60 years later and Wilde Subaru is proud to make the holidays special for needy children by supporting Toys for Tots again this year. The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

To help support the program, we proudly offered a complimentary oil change in exchange for a new unwrapped gift with a value of $20. This year, we were able to provide many children with a special holiday thanks to the amazing support of customers like you! As you can see from the picture above, we were able to collect a variety of toys including large stuffed animals, toy trucks, dolls, puzzles, books, and more!

Wilde Subaru Celebrates Subaru Loves Pets Month

Wilde Subaru Celebrates Subaru Loves Pets Month

Wilde Subaru Celebrates Subaru Loves Pets Month! Each October, Subaru works alongside animal organizations as part of the Subaru Love Promise Subaru Loves Pets Month.  Subaru will team up with ASPCA and BARK, the makers of BarkBox.  In the past we have hosted adoption events during the month. This year, we were happy to get involved in the local PuppyUp Walk.

Wilde Subaru Celebrates Subaru Loves Pets Month

The walk is inspired by the story of a man who lost his best friend, a Great Pyrenees, to cancer. He and his two dogs embarked on a cross-country trek, sharing information about cancer in dogs. This is what started the foundation and continues to inspire others to walk miles every year.

“Each year, we at Subaru look forward to Subaru Loves Pets as a chance to celebrate our furry friends and return the unconditional love they show us each and every day,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President, Marketing of Subaru of America, Inc. “We know our owners are passionate about their pets and we are committed to keeping all animals, including those in shelters, happy and healthy – increasing their overall chance of finding safe, loving homes.”

It’s Time to Share The Love With Wilde Subaru! Each holiday season, Subaru announces the Share the Love event and allows dealerships to choose a local charity to give their funds to . For 2016, Subaru donated $250 to four national charities or a pre-approved Hometown Charity designated by the purchaser or lessee, up to $15,000,000 in total. For the third year, we chose the The Food Pantry of Waukesha County as our hometown charity and we donated an extra $50 for each sold or leased vehicle, up to $7,500 total.

Join Us for our Wilde Subaru Loves Pets Event! Last year, we were happy to support the efforts of the Humane Animal Welfare Society with two different adoption events held at our dealership. After such a great time, we are excited to hold our Furry Friends & Fun Cars Event on October 21st, and the animals can be adopted directly from the HAWS mobile adoption center at our dealership all day! Feel free to enjoy some food and drinks and play with these adorable adoptables while getting tons of information on the new 2018 Crosstrek.

We’ve written about what it is really like to drive the 2018 Crosstrek, sharing, “More impressive than the throttle and traction tweaks was the hill descent control that activates with X-Mode. We had the opportunity to try it on a gravel hill at a rock quarry. After climbing up the massive mound of rock chunks, we descended what Subaru said was a 20 percent grade. That may not sound like much, but from the driver’s seat facing down, it’s pretty darn steep, and the hill descent control was never once fazed by it. It lowered us down the hill slowly and safely. The Crosstrek, since it’s a car at heart, won’t ever be as capable off-road as a real SUV with a low-range transfer case, but it can do a lot more than you might expect. Overall, the Subaru Crosstrek is a solid little car that lives and dies by its Impreza base. A great option for someone looking for a small, practical car that won’t quit when the going gets (a little) rough, or even for someone who just wants the look of a car like that. Because of that, we expect Subaru will sell plenty more Crosstreks in the next few years.” Stop by to test drive the vehicle for yourself!

Find your new best friend and a great new car at our Furry Friends & Fun Cars Event! Can’t adopt a pet? Drop by anyway to donate pet items and/or food for the animals at HAWS and help us fill a Crosstrek! For more info and to RSVP, visit Wilde Subaru on Facebook follow us on Twitter.
